We are not a builder

New Builds NZ does not build houses. We are not a Licensed Building Practitioner, not a project manager and not a building consultant. Nothing on this site is building advice, financial advice or legal advice. Decisions about a build should be made with your builder, your lawyer and, where relevant, a licensed practitioner.

How we make money

By referral. When we introduce you to a builder and you go on to build with them, that builder pays us a fee. You pay the same either way — the fee comes out of their marketing budget, not your contract price.

No referral partner is signed yet, so no introductions are being passed on and no fee is being earned. When that changes, the partner will be named here and on every page that asks you for your details, before you fill anything in.

How builder listings work

Builders do not pay to be listed and cannot pay to rank higher. Listings carry public, checkable facts — where a company operates, what it builds, what guarantee it offers — with the source linked. We do not publish reviews or ratings, because we have not collected any.
